Cross Keys Cawsand
The Cross Keys is one of those proper village pubs that instantly feels welcoming. Popular with both visitors and residents, it regularly hosts live music, quizzes and community events throughout the year. I visited on a sunny day, and was lucky to get a table outside. But inside, it is full of low beams and cosy corners for those colder days. Although no longer operating as a traditional pub, The Old Ship Inn remains a much-loved part of the village. Following the fire, the building has been transformed into a community-run café and events space.
Volunteers run the weekday cafe, and there’s also an after-school club in term time, regular curry nights and BBQs, live music and comedy. The venue regularly hosts community events, BBQs and live music, helping raise funds for ongoing repairs.

The Halfway House Inn Cornwall
Located between Cawsand and Kingsand, Halfway House Pub makes an excellent stop during a circular walk between the two villages.
