You may recognise Looe as it is where the BBC’s Beyond Paradise is filmed. Shipton Abbot is a fictional town on the Devon coast. However, it is actually Looe in Cornwall. They boast the biggest selection of drafts in Looe, so you’re bound to find your favourite tipple. They also serve snacks at lunchtime, including wraps, baguettes, burgers, salads, and jacket potatoes.
It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but looks can be deceiving; it’s a great place to relax after a beach stroll.

A proper Cornish gem! This 600-year-old pub is tucked away on Higher Market Street, opposite the Olde Museum and Gaol. The beer garden is a delight in summer, while in winter, the roaring fire is just the ticket after a bracing walk. Smack bang in bustling Fore Street, The Ship Inn is great for pub classics, generous portions, and a warm welcome. You’ll find The Golden Guinea in a charming 400-year-old fisherman’s cottage right in the town centre.
