Kings Arms
Dogs are more than welcome at The Kings Arms, a traditional pub just a short walk from the seafront. It has unusual etched table tops and a hidden garden with a canopy-covered area. There’s regular live music, alongside pool and darts.
Sunday lunch for just a tenner? Yes, please! The Kings Arms dishes up beef or lamb with all the trimmings, making it a top spot for a lazy Sunday afternoon. On the other days of the week, bar snacks are available all day.

The Brass

One of the cosiest spots in town, this place has an open fire (ideal for winter visits) and low beams for that old-world charm. The best part? It backs right onto the beach, so you can pop in after a seaside stroll. They serve reasonably priced pub food such as loaded fries, hunters’ chicken, steak and ale pie and vegan lasagne, making it a popular spot for dog friendly pubs in Teignmouth for lunch. The New Quay Inn
This is a no-nonsense pub on the harbourside (and I mean RIGHT on the harbourside!). Bet it’s lovely to sit outside on a sunny day and watch the Teign. We were there on a cold January evening, and a band was warming up, ready to play. A welcoming pub and dog friendly – which is always a bonus.

Ship Inn
If you’re in search of a quintessential British pub with a warm and inviting atmosphere, hearty food, and a prime location, then The Ship Inn should be your top choice. This snug pub by the water checks all the boxes. It’s one of the top dog friendly pubs in Teignmouth with a view. The beer garden looks like a suntrap in the summer, with stunning views of the water and boats. The Ship Inn Teignmouth menu is full of comforting pub classics, which did not disappoint.
Dogs are made to feel welcome. There’s a huge water bowl for dogs to rehydrate as you walk through the door and homemade liver treats behind the bar that a local makes for visiting dogs. It was even a regional winner of Rover’s Dog-friendly Pub Awards in 2019.

A bit different from your usual pub, Halulu is all about street food and cocktails. They’re super dog-friendly and even offer free pupaccinos – I know where my dog would choose to go! Open on weekends from 12pm, there’s often live music, bands and DJs.
