St Mary’s Church is one of the oldest places in town. Dating back to at least the early 12th century, with parts of the current building developed between the 14th and 16th centuries, it’s a beautiful example of medieval architecture, with a striking tower visible for miles.

Tyntesfield is a National Trust estate with loads of space for long walks. There are gardens, woods, and open parkland to explore. The house is worth a look if you like old buildings – just take turns going inside, as dogs need to stay outdoors.
